Privacy and network access
Every network connection the app can make is listed under Network access and is off until you turn it on. No analytics, no account, consent before any third-party service sees your text.
Updated for iOS 1.65
Privacy and network access
Design Intent: Antinote has no analytics, no account and no server of its own. Everything that uses the network is listed in one place and is off until you turn it on.
Network access
- Settings › Sync & privacy › Network access lists every connection the app can make, grouped as Services you connect (AI providers, cloud transcription, cloud voices — either can be a custom endpoint — and extensions that call an API), Downloads (on-device models) and Referrals. Turn everything off cuts them all, iCloud sync and conversion rates included, after asking you to confirm.
- The Trial row explains the trial: it is counted on the device, and the App Store checks purchases with Apple. Nothing goes to antinote.io.
- Each third-party service asks for consent the first time it would receive your text.
- Apple dictation, on-device models, OCR and Apple voices never leave the phone.
Resetting
- Settings › System › Reset preferences puts every setting back without touching notes. Factory reset deletes the notes, the settings, the trial clock, the tips, and everything else the app keeps on this device — wallpapers and the background library, custom themes, extensions, downloaded voice and dictation models, and note backups — then quits.
- Both ask how far to go. This device only (iCloud off) resets this device and turns iCloud sync off, so nothing downloads back. Everywhere, iCloud included also deletes the iCloud copy: the preferences record for Reset preferences, the whole notes database for Factory reset. If that delete fails, nothing is reset and an alert says why.
- The privacy policy is linked from Settings › About, along with Get help and support on Discord and an email link to johnson@antinote.io.
